The Master of Science in Digital Design (MSDD) is a fully online, flexible graduate program offering 30 to 45 credits, designed to accommodate students with diverse backgrounds and varying levels of expertise. For students with little to no formal design experience, the program provides up to 15 credits of preparatory coursework to build foundational skills. These courses address gaps in 2D color and composition, 3D modeling and composition, 4D video and animation, and the history of art and design, as identified through the undergraduate transcript and portfolio review. This preparatory coursework ensures students are well-prepared to succeed in any of the graduate Digital Design concentrations.
Students with more advanced skills seeking a non-terminal graduate degree can complete the program with as few as 30 graduate Digital Design credits.
Students may take focused MSDD course work in any one of three concentration areas: Animation Essentials, Game Design and Interactivity Essentials, or UI/UX Essentials. The program's modular structure allows students to earn a stand-alone certificate in any of these concentrations while working toward a non-terminal graduate degree.
Courses within these certificate modules are designed to equip graduates with targeted skills and knowledge in digital design's most in-demand areas, both currently and in the foreseeable future.
