Lincoln Park Music Village

Newark’s Lincoln Park, the southernmost of three historic parks along Broad Street, has been the locus, successively, to fine private residences, medical offices, and, most recently substance abuse rehabilitation centers. Since 2002 a local nonprofit, Lincoln Park Coast Cultural District, Inc., has been spearheading redevelopment of the neighborhood as a mixed-income, mixed use arts district. Several architecture studios have assisted this effort by envisioning improvements to the park itself and the adjacent neighborhood. Lincoln Park Music Village, an options studio taught in spring 2020 by Prof. Schuman, is the latest of these efforts.
