Brandon Kong
From Bridgewater, New Jersey, I grew up in a family of five as a triplet. I didn’t get into 3D stuff until I was around 13 years old when I found a modding community for the game, Counter-Strike: Source. All of these artists were creating custom models and animations for the video game. In high school I also took a class that introduced me to the free program Blender, so I fairly knew what I wanted to do early on. I’m also on the NJIT Track and Field team in the pole vault. I got the school record this past season with 15’ 5” and also placed third in the America East Conference Championships.
Sci-Fi Cyberpunk with Chinese Tang Dynasty Fashion
I worked with three other people in my thesis project. I worked with Dongsheng Han, June Enriquez, and Sergio Segovia. We essentially tried to make a demo level for a 3rd person adventure puzzle game. For the visual theme, we tried to create a hyper realistic AAA look, and we wanted to combine Sci-Fi Cyberpunk with Chinese Tang Dynasty fashion. I was able to photoscan my sister and use her face for the main character as well. I was mainly in charge of building the main character in 3D as well as animating her for the game.
