Model at Newark Public Library

The model was initially installed in the ground floor lobby of the Newark Public Library in the summer of 2016 as part of the celebration of the 350th anniversary of the city’s founding. The model and larger exhibition are intended as an educational tool to assist educators, community development organizations, and city planning officials explain and explore the full extent of the city’s physical character, providing context for discussions of urban redevelopment. Photo credit: People Power Planning Newark
