I have learned so much these past five years and have made many memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Each year has given me new, exciting experiences that allowed me to meet new people and strengthen my existing relationships. Going to NJIT has helped me learn about the type of person that I want to become in the future and has allowed me to grow toward that person. These five years have truly been an enriching experience and I am very happy with how I turned out. I would like to thank my family, especially my parents for always supporting me in my studies and helping me achieve my goals. They have stood beside me all my life and I hope I can continue to make them proud in the future.
Four Freedoms Foundation
The objective of this project is to design a structure that connects the Roosevelt Memorial with the Smallpox hospital without taking away the significance of either entity. The design is made of five separate structures that are connected underground. Each structure has a similar but different curtain wall facade depending on the program. The interior court in the middle creates a connection between the memorial stairs and the hospital. The space has a transparent facade that has sliding doors that opens up on the North and South side to cater to larger events and connect the two gathering spaces. The galleries located on either side of the interior court have translucent glass and a shading system to control sunlight from the north and south. The organization of the program allows each program to have its own significance.
