Coming from the suburbs of Roxbury NJ, being involved in the architectural community at NJIT completely influenced my interest in the architectural field in a way I did not expect. I could not have asked for a better circle of friends that I became close with over the years of studio. The Loop, in collaboration with Sebastian Faciolince
Designing for a new resilient park in the Mott Haven area of the Southern Bronx, the project aims to revamp the lowly, underused shoreline to bring pedestrian access closer to the waterfront. The Loop aspect of the design connects the inner current railway system, which will be relocated along the water, to the outer shoreline promenade, creating a new flood resilient park and proposing new real estate along the below grade park.
