I began my journey at NJIT through the EOP program, and participated my freshman year in the D1 Track and Field team. I have also been a part of several on-campus clubs including AIAS. My favorite out-of-studio hobby however became training for endurance sports. Alongside my last year of school I was able to compete in multiple triathlons, marathons and a half-ironman, but my greatest accomplishment came from raising $1,350 for a non-profit that serves to financially support kids’ journeys through sports. I was also an intern at the Jersey City Housing Authority for two years and participated in the Pritzker prize award winning Spain based firm, RCR through their workshop during the summer of my sophomore year. I hope to continue developing my skills as a creative and further my education by pursuing a master's degree in spanish-journalism.
RCR Summer Workshop
I’ve selected a few images of my presentation from RCR’s summer workshop. The project revolved around a forgotten town stuck in medieval times built atop a 50m high cliff of basaltic rock. The goal was to create a route through the town that would attract visitors through the process of placing viewpoints and designing them in such a way that each stage would incite emotion, curiosity and adventure. The images selected showcase one of the viewpoints that symbolizes the climax of that journey which is embedded at the highest point of access cut in between the ruins left of facades lost in time that decorate this rock from afar. The master plan gives a more detailed overview of the whole itinerary.
