I find it incredible to look back and see how much my life has changed thanks to these 5 years of learning. Being an immigrant, adapting to a new culture and language is very difficult, so obtaining a bachelor’s degree from a prestigious university makes it an invaluable achievement. Thanks to the many mistakes I learned from and the wonderful friends and teachers I met during these 5 years at HCAD, I realized that I am capable of achieving anything. Now, thanks to this wonderful journey, I know where I want to go. HCAD helped me grow as an individual and made me understand that architecture is a tool that helps change the lives of others. Now with a bachelor’s degree in architecture, a minor in sustainability, and pursuing a masters in infrastructure planning, I hope to get the opportunity to create a more equitable sustainable community. Newark The Green New Deal
Essence takes into account ideas from the Green New Deal with climate, jobs and equity. The main idea is creating new green jobs, with the creation of the Nature Restoration Lab, this is achieved. To promote equity, anyone regardless of experience is able to work at the lab, train and learn how to help. Another idea is to fight climate change with greenhouse emissions, to do this all buildings on the site will strive to create their own energy utilizing efficient sustainable natural renewable resources like the sun. The Green New Deal also promotes education which will be achieved through the lab's outdoor museum which will feature new projects they are working on, with continuously changing ecological information.Achieving a new green deal will be a determining factor for more livable and fair communities that support trust, interaction, education, and recreation. The purpose of this project is to preserve natural resources and bring people closer. Tackle the crisis of inequality and climate change; using clean energy, preserving our resources, and educating people so everyone takes care of the environment.
