I am grateful to all my professors and friends that I have met at this school in the last five years. As a freshman in this program, I knew that the next five years would be difficult, but I would not have it any other way. My undergraduate education has been a life changing experience and I want to thank my professors for influencing my design mind. I have met lifelong friends and we have grown with each other during these long semesters. The opportunities that this school has opened for me and my future are immeasurable. Blurred Paths
With thoughts of this building potentially becoming a destination gateway to FDR Memorial Park, this proposal suggests a structure influenced by the site’s unique location. Relying on the abstraction of site points and lines, this proposal is a study on translucent and transparent design ideas. Through the use of an interior circulation path, which can also host additional art programs not included in the gallery spaces, that connects four distinct galleries, the visitor will be able to experience different spatial conditions that are characterized by their natural and artificial lighting conditions.
