The journey at NJIT has not been an easy one but I am grateful for it nonetheless. While one does need a good design eye to start, the Digital Design community, as well as the Art & Design community, has awarded me an incredible experience that has allowed me to grow artistically, professionally, personally and academically. My gratitude to my friends, colleagues, peers and professors simply cannot be put into words. I never would’ve imagined some of the things we’ve gone through, on an individual and collective level, and the strength and bond that allowed us to grow despite all the hindrances. Celestia
Celestia is a motion graphics animation project inspired by space and music. The project is designed to bring the viewer to humanity's next great stage: space. Through matching visuals and music, I sought to create a piece that explored worldbuilding, 3D modeling and visual effects. The world of Celestia is dominated by three large government factions and my thesis is the exploration of the first chapter, Cherbiria. is an authoritarian government that values science and exploration, visualized through shots of the gaseous ringed planet, spacecraft and personified as an archer made of nebulic gases. Celestia is “...a romance with the stars, marred with the underlying tone of human tragedy and misery”. Of all the projects I’ve created through my time as a Digital Designer, Celestia is the one that I am proudest of but also the type of work I hope to continue to create after graduation.
