My name is Alexandra Novichkova, and I am a Digital Design major. I fall more and more in love with the fields of art every day. Character design and concept art are my strengths, and my passion, nothing gets me going like the opportunity to exercise creatively.
Remnants
Remnants is my thesis video project. I aimed to create a pitch episode for a theoretical show about media characters breaking the fourth wall and exploring different kinds of media. My goals for this project were; to explore combining 2d animation with 3d animation, to practice developing concepts into complete designs, and to familiarize myself with the process of animation and production on a small scale. The story of the theoretical show Remnants would tackle the idea of media characters recognizing that they are creations, coming to terms with humanity’s disappearance, and exploring their purpose in life beyond entertainment.
