College of Architecture and Design To Host AIA-NJ Fall Symposium
The 5th annual AIA-NJ Fall Symposium, “Distributed Intelligence”, will be held at the NJIT College of Architecture and Design on Wednesday, November 14, from 1:30 – 5:30 PM.
This symposium will bring together architects, designers and educators to examine the ongoing technological transformation of the design disciplines. Considering what forms of interdisciplinarity are needed as we move forward and what are the implications for our society and the next generation of architects and designers, the event will pose the following question: “What is Smart Design?” Invited speakers will share their work and research and reflect on the forces behind this transformation that has redefined the scope of design innovation from the global to the Nano-scale. This event is organized by NJIT faculty Rhett Russo and Matt Burgermaster and sponsored by the AIA New Jersey.
