- For the third consecutive year, NJIT hosted one of the international sites for the 2013 Global Game Jam. The event represents a successful collaboration between the Digital Design program in the School of Art + Design and the Information Technology program in the College of Computing Sciences, as students form multidisciplinary teams at the start of the event to produce games. - Three third-year Interior Design students from the School of Art + Design were selected as one of two winners of the 2012 “Through the Decades” Chair Design Competition sponsored by Kimball Office Furniture. More.
- In addition to the Curated Student Work Exhibit, NJIT’s School of Art + Design was represented at SIGGRAPH 2012 by five students from Digital Design program who were selected to the highly competitive Student Volunteer Program during which each student provided a minimum of 30 hours of service for the weeklong event.
