Jersey city is a multimodal transportation hub that is rich in its offering of multiple varied systems of public transportation. Yet within these systems, there lies deficiencies dealing with time and underserved areas. These deficiencies are specifically experienced in the public transportation system which is lever-aged at 50% as a mode of circulating over privately owned vehicles which only makeup 38% of the commutes. If the time and amount of these trips can be shortened and reduced and if sustainable transportation can fill in the gaps of the current public transportation system then the quality of life will be improved along as well.
