As a continuation of NJIT’s campus, this graduate housing provides a welcoming entrance from Sussex Avenue to allow students of all ages to use the indoor and outdoor commercial spaces. Simultaneously, the building adapts to the site features, including the resolution of noisy surroundings by moving the courtyard to the rear of the site for a more enjoyable experience. Another aspect that this building acknowledges is sun-light. The orientation of building and the rotation of each floor allows for the sun to reach every apartment, as well as give every apartment a view to the possible future condition of Sussex Park.
