This site was perviously a four-story building on the corner of 35 Halsey Street in Newark, occupied by the Advocates for Children of New Jersey and tenants above. Out job was to redesign this demodernized building into something that both promotes socialization and welcomes various activities in common spaces. These double height spaces were created to be the common spaces that were built to accommodate larger groups, and create a ses of "community". This facility will hold adult classes, after-school enrichment, public art events, etc. It is meant to be a resource for the young, the old; the community.
