This design addresses the effects of rising water levels on endangered species within salt marshes, and how architecture can act as a habitat to preserve these species. The research involves records of yearly and monthly water levels in Liberty State Park, Jersey City, as well as scientifically predicted sea level heights through year 2100. The architecture acts as an open framework, directing water away from the bird's nests and maintaining their privacy during breeding months.
