Interior Design Program Ranks High in Report From National Magazine
NJIT's Hillier College of Architecture and Design improved in several rankings by Design Intelligence magazine this month.
Our interior design program ranked second nationwide for the most hires among 15 similar-sized programs, an impressive improvement from its 14 ranking last year. The magazine also cited interior design coordinator David Brothers as one of the 16 most-admired educators in his field.
In addition the program ranked in the top ten for undergraduate engineering fundamentals; practice management; transdisciplinary collaboration; project planning and management; and research. It's the first time NJIT interior design ranked high in any of these subcategories.
The architecture program is listed in the 12th spot out of 20 similar-sized schools for the most hires, and the program itself rose five spots to 30th out of 40 nationwide.
HCAD Dean Branko Kolarevic said his goal is to lead the architecture program into top-ten status.
