Graduate Admissions Portfolio Requirements

Portfolio Submission

Applicants to the MArch Programs are required to submit a design portfolio containing reproductions of original drawings, paintings, prints, graphic designs, photographs.  These should be organized within a binder whose format is not less that 8" x 10" nor more than 11" x 14".   Applicants to the professional degree, NAAB-accredited MArch., with little or no design background, may consider submitting examples of visual materials such as sketches, constructions, graphics and photographs. Students with previous design work in architecture who will be considered for advanced standing, must submit a design portfolio illustrating their development in architectural design.  Portfolio is mandatory for applicants to the M.Arch. and/or M.I.P. post-professional degrees; portfolio submission for applicants to the non-professional MSAS program is optional.  Please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope if the portfolio is to be returned.
